Nobody is going to be shocked over the next few weeks because what's going live is only the Phase 0 of Ethereum 2.0. By itself, Phase 0 does nothing to improve the transactions per second or alleviate the high gas issues

Is Ethereum a good investment? Or one should exit

Etherium certainly has a very bright future. But another I have found out about is CLIQTOKEN. Check out their whitepaper on cliqtoken.com and you will be surprised at the amazing stuffs they are doing. Good thing is that they are in Presale round 2 and it's the perfect time to become a whale. Now selling as 0.03$ and by April will go for 0.20 at the main ICO stage

Based on your financial training where exactly? And how are these numbers created other than pulled from your arse? Adoption does not make ETH more valuable. Stupid people believing it's worth something does.

That's kinda funny, got a chuckle. Do you have an opinion about what ETH may do over the next year? I think 3k to 5k is a really big stretch, but I have absolutely no training. I do have it in my portfolio but I look to other tokens to make money with in short term. I keep ETH and BTC for the longterm gains. Have any thought on any for short term gains?

Expand full comment
Tim Eckel's avatar

There's no such thing as training to predict the future. ETH and BTC will either get closer to $0 or $1M in the next year. Trying to predict which way is a game you'll only win 50% of the time.

Hey Qualls, Firstly thanks for comment! Super appreciate it!

I usually focus my time on technical analysis and price action, this article was written due to the number of questions I get asking my opinion on fundamentals longer term. My prediction is heavily reliant on BTC reaching +$50,000 over the next 12/24 months.

I think Ethereum is easily the number one blockchain in the space just looking at adoption, usability and growth. Lower timeframe I think wee could chop around current price and possible see the $300 region tested again.

I'll bet you $50,000 in USD that BTC won't be $50k in the next 12/24 months. Are you willing to eat your dick if it's not $50k?

Cactus's avatar

If your serious, I would take that bet. I have 100% strike rate on ETH traders throughout Q2 and Q3 of 2020 so also happy to make an ETH bet similar.

If you set up an escrow, I would do a $20,000 bet for BTC to hit $50,000 in the next 30 months if you want...

A fool's bet on your part, which proves you haven't a clue.

I buy 1 BTC today for lets say $10,720. Lets see how this bet could work out:

1) Price goes up to $50k, so I owe you $20k. But, my BTC is now worth $50,000, so I still make a profit of $19,280. Anything higher than $50k and I make even more.

2) Price stays the same, you owe me $20k so I make $20k.

3) Price goes down to zero, you owe me $20k and I still make $9,280.

Like I said, this is a fool's bet for you and really shows you don't have much of a grasp of finances as it's a bet that I would win in every situation. Like most blockchain "experts", financially clueless and make predictions based on emotion.

Thank you for proving my point.

Either make the bet of don't... stop being an idiot lmfao nobody cares at all about anything your saying especially me.

Hit me up with the escrow for the bet or just shut up at this point.

Thanks have an amazing day! <3

People only adopt something they think is valuable 😂

Expand full comment
Tim Eckel's avatar

Not true in this case. The adoption isn't from individuals. It's mainly from scams just using the ETH blockchain. If anything, this, along with insane transaction fees, are doing quite the opposite for ETH.

Expand full comment
Warblington's avatar

Yes it is true. Individuals do adopt ETH. Scammer or not people are adopting to make money. Fact.

Name one tangible item you can buy with ETH. ETH is being hijacked by scammers. For this reason, I see the value only getting lower.

Justheretoreplytotin's avatar

What do you think adoption is?

Expand full comment
Tim Eckel's avatar

It doesn't equate to value. Just because the latest pyramid scheme is using the ETH block chain, doesn't make ETH more valuable. It could mean exactly the opposite actually.

Expand full comment
Cactus's avatar

Value comes from both adoption and usability. Now I'm not going to respond to any of your other comments because they are pretty ridiculous to be honest. You obviously have pretty close to zero understanding of the blockchain space.

The way you sling around words like 'Pyramid Scheme' just goes to show how uneducated in the space you are. You can take your comment elsewhere :) Thanks

Tim Eckel's avatar

ETH has basically zero adoption, you can't buy anything with it. And usability is in the same boat (as well as transaction fees being way too high).

You're right, *I* don't know what I'm talking about from your perspective because I don't make foolish untrained predictions on BTC going to $50k in the next 12/24 months :rolls-eyes:

I call it what it is, and the demand for ETH transactions are based on pyramid schemes. That's exactly what these blockchain scams are. You can call them purple unicorns if that makes you feel better and makes you sleep better at night dreaming of when BTC is $1M.
